Article 1 Purpose
These Terms define the rights, obligations, responsibilities, service conditions, and procedures between the LifeDue operator and members regarding the LifeDue deadline management service.
Article 2 Definitions
- Service means the LifeDue mobile app, official website, reminders, attachment storage, and related deadline management features.
- Member means a user who agrees to these Terms, creates an account, and uses the Service.
- Life item means a subscription, insurance, contract, warranty, reservation, document, or other deadline or recurring schedule registered by a member.
- Attachment means an image of a receipt, contract, warranty, reservation record, or similar document uploaded by a member and linked to a life item. One image can be attached per life item.
Article 3 Posting and Amendment
The operator posts these Terms in the app or on the official website.
The operator may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by law and will announce material changes at least 7 days before the effective date.
Changes that are material or unfavorable to members may be separately notified through app notices, email, or an in-app consent screen.
Article 4 Service Agreement
A service agreement is formed when an applicant agrees to these Terms and the required privacy consent, and the operator accepts the application.
Marketing consent is optional, and refusal does not restrict use of the Service.
If you start without signing in (guest mode), you must still agree to these Terms and the required privacy consent, and an anonymous guest account without an email address is created. Guest users are treated as members under these Terms.
A guest account has no sign-in method until you link Google, Apple, or an email address. If you delete the app or sign out before linking an account, you will no longer be able to access your data, and the operator is not obliged to restore it.
- The operator may refuse or delay acceptance when false information is provided, another person's information is used, prior abuse exists, applicable law is violated, or technical or operational limits exist.
Article 5 Eligibility and Minimum Age
You must be at least 13 years old to use LifeDue.
If the law of your country requires a higher age to consent to the processing of personal data (for example, 14 in the Republic of Korea, or up to 16 in countries of the European Economic Area), you must meet that age or use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.
The Service is not directed to children under 13. If the operator learns that an account belongs to a child below the applicable age without the required consent, the operator may delete the account.
Article 6 Account and Security
Members must keep account information secure and immediately notify the operator if account theft or unauthorized use is suspected.
The operator is not responsible for account theft, leakage, or data loss caused by a member's fault.
Article 7 Service Features
- Registration and management of subscriptions, insurance, contracts, warranties, reservations, documents, and other life deadlines
- Storage of start dates, due dates, repeat cycles, amounts, currency, payment methods, payment account names, and memos
- Upload and deletion of one image attachment per life item
- Local notifications scheduled on the member's device based on D-day, D-N, and recurring schedules (the operator does not send server push notifications)
- Management of member-created custom categories and templates
- Lists, calendars, payment summaries, and other views based on member-entered data
- Rewarded ads watched when saving a new life item or saving edits to an existing one, and a time-limited pass granted after an ad is watched to completion
Article 8 Member Obligations
- Members must register only information and files they are authorized to use.
- Members should not register unnecessary sensitive information such as national ID numbers, passport numbers, full payment card numbers, or another person's sensitive data.
- Members must not interfere with normal service operation, perform automated collection, reverse engineering, security bypass, or illegal file uploads.
- Members should use reminders as personal reference tools and should not rely on them as the sole legal deadline guarantee.
Article 9 Reminders and Data Accuracy
LifeDue reminders depend on dates, time zones, device permissions, operating system settings, and network conditions.
The operator does not guarantee reminder delivery, display timing, or external schedule accuracy. Members must separately verify important contracts, insurance, visas, reservations, and payment deadlines.
Members are responsible for the accuracy and freshness of life items, amounts, payment methods, and attachments they enter.
Article 10 Attachments and Content
Rights to attachments and memos uploaded by members remain with the members.
The operator may process member content within the scope necessary for service provision, storage, backup, security review, and incident response.
The operator may delete, restrict access to, or limit accounts for illegal files, malware, infringing materials, or content that disrupts service operation.
Article 11 Advertising and Rewards
The Service is provided free of charge and is supported by advertising (Google AdMob banner ads and rewarded ads). Banner ads are always shown in the app.
Ads are provided by third parties. The operator is not responsible for advertisers' products or services or for external sites reached through ads.
When saving a new life item or saving edits to an existing item without an active pass, members watch a rewarded video ad to completion. Once the ad is completed, the changes are saved and the member receives a pass to add and edit items on that device without ads for 30 minutes. If no ad can be loaded (for example, due to no ad inventory or a network error), the save proceeds without an ad and no pass is granted. Viewing items, reminders, widgets, deleting items, and marking items as done are available regardless of whether ads are watched.
The pass has no cash value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, refunded, or carried over to another device. The pass may not be granted if the ad is not watched to completion or abuse is detected. The operator may change the duration or conditions of the pass or suspend or end the rewarded-ad program at any time.
LifeDue always requests non-personalized ads. Where UMP requires it, Settings > Ad Privacy Options lets you manage ad consent. Non-personalized ads may still involve SDK data collection; see the Privacy Policy.
Article 12 Service Changes and Suspension
The operator may change or suspend all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons.
The Service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, incidents, third-party service failures, security response, or legal compliance.
Article 13 Use Restriction and Termination
If a member violates these Terms or interferes with service operation, the operator may issue warnings, suspend use, restrict features, or terminate the account.
Members may delete their account at any time, immediately, in the app under Settings > Delete Account. Deleting the account immediately deletes the account information, registered life items, and stored images.
If the app cannot be used, members may request account deletion by email at zorleno.co@gmail.com. Upon deletion, personally identifiable data and connected data are deleted unless legal retention applies.
Article 14 Personal Information
The operator protects personal information in accordance with applicable law.
The processing of personal information is governed by the separately published Privacy Policy and the Consent to Collection and Use of Personal Information agreed to at sign-up.
Article 15 Limitation of Liability
- The operator is not responsible for damages caused by force majeure, network failures, cloud provider failures, app store policies, or operating system restrictions.
- The operator is not responsible for damages caused by incorrect member input, unconfirmed reminders, blocked device permissions, or network conditions.
- For free services, the operator is not liable unless otherwise required by applicable law.
Article 16 Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.
The operator and member will first try to resolve disputes in good faith. Unresolved disputes will be submitted to the competent court under applicable law.
Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
