Article 1 Purpose

These Terms define the rights, obligations, responsibilities, service conditions, and procedures between the LifeDue operator and members regarding the LifeDue deadline management service.

Article 2 Definitions

  • Service means the LifeDue mobile app, official website, reminders, attachment storage, and related deadline management features.
  • Member means a user who agrees to these Terms, creates an account, and uses the Service.
  • Life item means a subscription, insurance, contract, warranty, reservation, document, or other deadline or recurring schedule registered by a member.
  • Attachment means a receipt, contract, warranty, reservation record, image, or document uploaded by a member and linked to a life item.

Article 3 Posting and Amendment

The operator posts these Terms in the app or on the official website.

The operator may amend these Terms within the scope permitted by law and will announce material changes at least 7 days before the effective date.

Changes that are material or unfavorable to members may be separately notified through app notices, email, or an in-app consent screen.

Article 4 Service Agreement

A service agreement is formed when an applicant agrees to these Terms and the required privacy consent, and the operator accepts the application.

Marketing consent is optional, and refusal does not restrict use of the Service.

  • The operator may refuse or delay acceptance when false information is provided, another person's information is used, prior abuse exists, applicable law is violated, or technical or operational limits exist.

Article 5 Account and Security

Members must keep account information secure and immediately notify the operator if account theft or unauthorized use is suspected.

The operator is not responsible for account theft, leakage, or data loss caused by a member's fault.

Article 6 Service Features

  • Registration and management of subscriptions, insurance, contracts, warranties, reservations, documents, and other life deadlines
  • Storage of start dates, due dates, repeat cycles, amounts, currency, payment methods, payment account names, and memos
  • Attachment upload and deletion for each life item
  • Local and push reminders based on D-day, D-N, and recurring schedules
  • Lists, calendars, payment summaries, and other views based on member-entered data

Article 7 Member Obligations

  • Members must register only information and files they are authorized to use.
  • Members should not register unnecessary sensitive information such as national ID numbers, passport numbers, full payment card numbers, or another person's sensitive data.
  • Members must not interfere with normal service operation, perform automated collection, reverse engineering, security bypass, or illegal file uploads.
  • Members should use reminders as personal reference tools and should not rely on them as the sole legal deadline guarantee.

Article 8 Reminders and Data Accuracy

LifeDue reminders depend on dates, time zones, device permissions, operating system settings, and network conditions.

The operator does not guarantee reminder delivery, display timing, or external schedule accuracy. Members must separately verify important contracts, insurance, visas, reservations, and payment deadlines.

Members are responsible for the accuracy and freshness of life items, amounts, payment methods, and attachments they enter.

Article 9 Attachments and Content

Rights to attachments and memos uploaded by members remain with the members.

The operator may process member content within the scope necessary for service provision, storage, backup, security review, and incident response.

The operator may delete, restrict access to, or limit accounts for illegal files, malware, infringing materials, or content that disrupts service operation.

Article 10 Service Changes and Suspension

The operator may change or suspend all or part of the Service for operational or technical reasons.

The Service may be temporarily suspended for maintenance, incidents, third-party service failures, security response, or legal compliance.

Article 11 Use Restriction and Termination

If a member violates these Terms or interferes with service operation, the operator may issue warnings, suspend use, restrict features, or terminate the account.

Members may request account deletion through app settings or the support channel. Upon deletion, personally identifiable data and connected data are deleted unless legal retention applies.

Article 12 Personal Information

The operator protects personal information in accordance with applicable law. Collection and use of personal information follow the separate privacy consent document and related privacy notices.

Article 13 Limitation of Liability

  • The operator is not responsible for damages caused by force majeure, network failures, cloud provider failures, app store policies, or operating system restrictions.
  • The operator is not responsible for damages caused by incorrect member input, unconfirmed reminders, blocked device permissions, or network conditions.
  • For free services, the operator is not liable unless otherwise required by applicable law.

Article 14 Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

The operator and member will first try to resolve disputes in good faith. Unresolved disputes will be submitted to the competent court under applicable law.
